Instructions for Backing Up EasyTrak 2000 Data Files
i. In the “1) Select Drive” window, using the dropdown arrow, select “c:” ii. If the “2) Select directory location” shows these folders: “C:\,” “EasyTrak32,” “Backups,” followed by the day of the week, then skip to step v. iii. In the “2) Select directory location” window double-click on “C:\” then on “EasyTrak32” then on “Backups” (note it’s plural as there is a “BACKUP” directory that has a different use). iv. There should now be a list of the days of the week. Double-click the correct day of the week. (If you have backed up to this folder before, the right window will now show “EasyTrak.SBK.” Otherwise it will remain blank.) v. Click on “3) Start Backup.” (If there is a button labeled “5) Start Restore Data,” in step 4 you did not properly select the “Backup To” tab. Go back and select it.) vi. If you have previously backed up to this directory, you will get a “Confirm” window that asks “Do you really want to overwrite existing backup?” You do, so select “Yes.” vii. The status bar will show the progress of the backup and, when finished a window that says “Backup Complete!” will appear. Click “OK” and “Exit.” Your backup is done.
